Mount Beauty Visitor Information Centre

Mount Beauty is located just 90 minutes south east of Albury travelling along the Hume and Kiewa Valley Highways. 

There is an extraordinary array of experiences for any visitor ranging from serene activities such as bush walking, wining and dining through to more extreme activities including mountain biking, hang gliding, ski touring and white water rafting. Victoria's Alpine High Country offers opportunities for young and old especially families.

Mount Beauty provides an ideal base to tour the Kiewa Valley and Falls Creek, continue along Bogong's High Plains Road to Omeo and Gippsland. A broad selection of accommodation including motels/hotels, bed and breakfasts, caravan parks, self-contained properties and rural cottages are available. Bookings can be made online on our website.

The variety of restaurants, cafes and local bakeries offer an endless array of fine food, superb wine, and an atmosphere to suit any mood.

The Mount Beauty Visitor Information Centre is open 7 days a week from 9am to 5pm. Our staff can help with you with all your enquiries and assist you with planning your holiday to Victoria's Alpine High Country, within the Alpine Shire and surrounding regions. Specialising in maps and trail guides of the Alpine National Park, including Mount Bogong and Mount Feathertop.

The Centre offers state of the art interactive displays on mountain biking, ski touring, winter Olympics, hydro electricity and regional food and wine. Our friendly helpful staff and volunteers can assist you with planning your itinerary. The Information Centre also stocks a range of maps, books, souvenirs and gifts, as well as information on the whole of Victoria.
