Rutherglen Winery Walkabout

Victoria's largest wine event.

Rutherglen will once again be the place to be on the June long weekend for the annual Rutherglen Winery Walkabout.

From the beginnings in 1974 when the Winemakers' of North East Victoria joined forces to promote their quality wines, the festival has grown in size and stature. Rutherglen Winery Walkabout now attracts over 20,000 visitors and boasts three Tourism Awards including "Best Festival in Victoria" and was also named "Best Festival in Australia". 

Armed with their Walkabout glass & passport, the young, old and in between descend on the wineries for a spectacle not to be missed. 

An array of entertainment and activities are happening throughout the weekend. You'll find each of the wineries is offering something different from reserve tastings of rare vintages, to live bands, produce markets, unique breakfasts or special dinners. 

For just $20, you’ll receive the Winery Walkabout wine glass, glass holder and for the first time, the Rutherglen Wine Region Passport. Your passport will feature special offers from all 20 participating wineries and if you have it stamped by all, you'll receive a collector's series bottle of Muscat.

Hop on and off as you please in a safe and easy tour of the wineries. Operating from 10am to 4pm Saturday & Sunday, the Shuttle is just $25 for the day with pick up / drop off from Rutherglen, Corowa, Wahgunyah, Yarrawonga, Wangaratta and Albury / Wodonga. Please note: The Shuttle does not stop at All Saints Estate or St Leonards Vineyard.
