The Gallery showcases Australian Art by Internationally acclaimed Artists and presents an extensive Annual Exhibition Program. Modern to traditional paintings in most mediums are displayed as if in a home, in fact the Old Post Office is home to the owner operators Louise Barling and Garry Broderick. Over 200 works are hung and range in price from a few hundred dollars up to $10,000. Selected quality Australian craft is also available. Sculpture, pottery, woodwork, wildlife, jewellery and art glass feature. Centrally located, within the C1872 historic building, is a fully licensed restaurant serving coffees through to an extensive A La Carte menu complimented by local wines. An elegant relaxed atmosphere has been created whilst retaining the original features of the magnificent building. The fifteen foot pressed tin ceilings are hung with crystal chandeliers, all three open fire places work and are warm and welcoming in winter, free standing pillars and gracious arches give a feeling of grace, red carpet and parquetry enrich the feeling and outside a rose garden with sculptures and seating complete the relaxation. The Old Post Office Seymour is proud to offer the best in Australian Art and welcomes visitors to view the art, enjoy a coffee or meal, admire the Historic building and stroll in the garden. Well worth the trip up the Hume to see what Seymour has to offer! Something for everyone!
