Indulge in the enriching effects of water as it flows through Hepburn Springs, from luxury spas, to decadent food and wine and the lush environment.

Taking the waters
You're in luck. Historic Hepburn Springs is in the middle of Australia's largest concentration of mineral springs, which are full of health-giving minerals. Taste the different mineral formulations at old-fashioned pumps and pipes in Hepburn Springs Mineral Springs Reserve.

Your mind and body will also experience the benefits of these health-giving minerals at a local spa and wellness centre. Soak up local history – literally – and indulge in hydrotherapy, massage and beauty therapy at the lavishly refurbished Hepburn Bathhouse and Spa, established in 1895.

La dolce vita
See the evidence of the hard work of the Swiss Italian migrants who established Hepburn Springs during the 1850s gold rush. The settlers also planted the seeds of the finer things in life; so enjoy a coffee at one of the cafés and restaurants along Main Road or a beer and bar snack at a historic country pub. Stock up on fresh local produce and wines from surrounding vineyards.

Back to nature
Follow the waters and walk through Hepburn Regional Park in spring and see colourful wildflowers and a cacophony of animals and birds. Venture along the 16-kilometre Tipperary Track and explore Sailors Falls, Mount Franklin, the Blowhole and the Hepburn Pool.

Follow your feet
Pick up a map from the Daylesford Visitor Information Centre and take the Historic Village Walk. Visit the Old Macaroni Factory (1859), Villa Parma (1864) and restored Victorian, Edwardian and Art Deco guesthouses, shops, hotels, and miners’ cottages. Play a round of golf on Hepburn Springs’ 18-hole golf course (watch for the resident wild kangaroos) and visit Cricket Willow, home of the cricket bat and cricket and sporting memorabilia.
