Events – Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges
The Yarra Valley is renowned for its food and wine events. The highlight of the calendar is the Yarra Valley Grape Grazing Festival when over 20 wineries host feasts designed by top chefs, accompanied by live music ranging from jazz to Latin and World music and, of course, outstanding Yarra Valley wines.
Music is mixed with fine wine throughout the year – visit Domaine Chandon for Opera in the Vineyard, the Jazz in the Vines Festival at the TarraWarra Winery, or Rochford Wines Summer Music Festival at the Rochford’s Eyton Winery. For great garden events visit the Dandenongs in spring. The Tesselaar’s Tulip Festival in September is a breathtaking display of millions of tulips, freesias and daffodils, and the Rhododendron Festival, held at the National Rhododendron Gardens in Olinda a profusion of rhododendrons, azaleas and camelias
